And the Reason I'm Not Religious?
My friend Joe put this in one of the comments, but I think everyone should view this, not just because of the hilarity of it. Seriously, this is one of the reasons that I am so turned off to religions, the fact that people can be so intolerant of others peoples beliefs, just because they're not the same. No one knows the answers, no one knows who is right. So how can someone be wrong?
Jesus, if I were one of her daughters, I think I would have denounced God right in front of her when I saw her ripping up a homemade card. That's not being a "Spiritual Warrior", that's just being fucking rude.
I Would Just Like to Say...
I just bought a $100 Chrome Messenger bag.
I am the essence of "The Shit."
Thank You.

Back From the Shire
That night we ended up going to a Gay Club. I had the fortune of seeing my ex-boyfriend dance groin to groin with other gay boys. I just kept wanting to tell them, "Hey! I'm his ex-girlfriend!" For the most part, Rachel and I just danced together, but later on some Indian boy started dancing with me, which was fun. At one point he turned me around, put his back to me, and he started getting down and was dancing against me. Heh, he was a better dancer than me.
So now I'm back. And it's sad. I want to be back home. I feel bad about staying away for so long for it's obvious my dad really misses me, though he never says. My dad and I have never had a relationship in which we really talked to one another; or at least we've never shared our feelings. And it's not like we've had a bad relationship; you couldn't be further from the truth. But as I spend more time away, I find that my dad and I are talking more. We're not sharing feelings or anything, but there's just more talking. It's nice, I enjoy it. That's all I'm going to say.

"Hey Pretty Lady"
As I walked through the door, we walked after me a bit, "Hey, what's your name? I'm your new neighbor."
I called back, "Liz."
"I'm Sean." (or Shawn?)
I think it's rather funny that it happened for I've been telling Dave my random stories about getting hit on. Just another one!

Someone call Someone a "Dick"?

Happy New Haircut to me...again.
I met a new boy last night. His name is Dave. And...well, I really have nothing too good to say about that whole meeting.
: ) Alright, so I met up this new guy last night who I met on myspace. It's been awhile since I've just met up with some random person and it felt good to dive back into it. I headed over to his place near Uptown where he thrust a Blue Moon in my hand in a feeble attempt to get me drunk. (What he would have done if his plan had succeeded... Guess I won't know until tonight when I WILL get fucking plastered.) (Alright...I SHOULD stop worrying the "fam") But yeah, we sat back with some beer and had some "chit-chat", as people call it. I told stories about creepy guys hitting on me at Target and we listened to music and dicked around on the internet looking at (and mocking) myspace profiles.
His roommates came home a little later; Travis and Adam. I found Travis to be quite hilarious, though he never really tried to be funny. Adam was really cool too; he made me feel really comfortable and was easy to talk to. He also gave me one of the nicest compliments I've ever received when he told me that I seemed "like a really cool person." He said this after I told him that I don't really have any friends up here. And then he told me I should come and hang out more there. Yeah...I see what he's trying to do; he's being all nice and friendly because his groin is itchy and he just wants some action. : )
A guy named Ben came over later...I hope that was his name. I guess he's well known among graffiti artists and Dave was telling me that his work is all over Minneapolis. He showed me some pictures of his stuff and though I'm no expert on graffiti, I think it's quite good. It's very detailed and fine, not something you usually see with graffiti. But yeah, look for him, I guess his trademark is that he puts whiskers on his "characters." (God, I hope I'm not getting this wrong.) Yeah, he was an interesting boy. I guess he was in an unfriendly mood; Dave and I were laughing as Ben and Adam were bickering in the kitchen like a married couple. "Why are you getting bitchy with me?"
Around 3 am, Adam left with a backpack full of spray paint, and I felt sooo jealous. I love just doing random shit at odd times, but as it's winter, my spontaneity levels need some refueling. After that, Dave and I settled down in warm blankets and watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force. But as it was around 4 am and we had some beer in our system, we were sleepy...and indeed, we fell asleep. So I ended up staying there last night for I felt too lazy to pull my petite self from the warm embrace of the blankets. And so this morning I left his place around 10; he headed to work and I met up with Tony to watch Pittsburgh beat down the Colts.
Tonight I shall head to the 7th St. Entry...for the first time...and watch Dave's roommates' band play a show.
It better be worth my time.Friday, January 13, 2006

Nothin'
Tony and I watched "Raging Bull" last night. The only thing we got from that movie is: It's ok to beat your woman when she's not treating you right, or doesn't seem to be treating you right.
No, we got more out of it than that. Like, boxing is a quite glorious sport.
I'm going to do some free laundry tomorrow. Thank God, it has been soooo long.
Next Thursday I'm visiting good ol' Iowa again. It's been a couple months since I've been home last and now I need to go and celebrate X-Mas. Friday night, Rachel and I are probably going to head down to Iowa City to visit my ex and party with him. Hopefully he doesn't try to get me involved into any sort of same-sex orgies or nude modeling. (Can you believe I dated this guy?) I'll take pictures, and share them (and hopefully some funny stories too) with you.
But that's in a week, and until then...I hope something worth talking about happens soon.
Hint, hint...

"I am very attracted to you."
"Oh no, he never told me that."
I didn't really think much of it. I expected that if Mohamud had, then Hanand would have just told me it was a joke. But instead, Hanand broke out a few minutes later, "I like you sooo much. I am very attracted to you."
Fuck, what do I say..."Oh, that's uh...very flattering."
I hated this, I was just put into such an awful position. Hanand started talking about how he wanted to "be close friends who share secrets." I'm just thinking, that stuff just happens naturally, you can't ask for it. And then he continued on, "We become close friends, and then see how our behaviors are."
Alright Hanand, I think I know how my "behaviors" are going to be.
When I dropped him off, he asked if I would give a kiss (it looked as though he signed for a kiss on the cheek) as a good-bye, and I just told him point-blank, "I'm not a touchy person."
Fuck!
I'll Spend The Money
Blah, what else going on? Work as usual, which is noting too big to talk about. I was working full time but now my hours are being cut, as are everyone else's hours since the holidays are over. Now I just have to beg my "superiors" for mo' hours. I must say that I really enjoy working at Target now. It's not really the actual job that I have that I enjoy, but I really like the people I work with. When I first started I was really shy, but now I've worked there for so long and have outlasted many others, I feel confident about talking and joking around with people. Though...I still haven't really hung out with anyone from work.
I've started writing again. Not that I ever stopped, but I've been writing more than usual. That's always a good thing.
Went to a party the other night in Uptown. You can see pictures here. Very fun, intense, and very emotional party...I will say no more.
Hmm...I got asked out the other day at Target. His name is Alex and I think he's 25..26? He was in my creative writing class and he heads the Psych club at MCTC. He came through my lane the 2nd time in about a week and asked, "Would you like to go out sometime?" God, I hate this shit. I always get asked out by people who I don't want to go out with. He handed me his name and number etched on paper, which he had written prior and was ready to hand out.
Life...school starts in a few days. I'm only taking 2 classes. Yay for laziness and for full time.

New Years Shiznit

This is how our night started. Rachel drove up a couple days earlier for she was flying out of Minneapolis to Colorado. I had driven her to the airport and her car was parked at Tony's. On the 31st, I decided that we should move her car to my place. Tony got in my car and I was in Rachels and right as Tony got onto 94, I had to stop on Lyndale for I had a flat tire. Yeah..."great" start to the night. I'm sure Rachel will be "thrilled" to find a donut on her car. Oh well, Tony and I made it up to ourselves by stealing a bag of Teddy Grahams from Rachel's car.
Tony and I spent our New Years at our friend Mike's place. (I met Mike at the Pizza Luce Block Party in August.) It was pretty fun. We drank some beer (Tony got a little drunk while I GOT drunk), played pool (I kicked Tony's ass in front of everyone), played guitar, and played beer pong. Worthwhile night. I ended up getting a little drunk...I wasn't that bad, but I wasn't exactly seeing clearly or anything. People kept telling me I shouldn't drive (as I was the driver), but I just responded with, "I'm driven when I've been worse." Is that true? Heh, and Tony didn't want to drive, though he was more sober than I was. We left Mike's place around 1 or 2 and Tony took advantage of my drunkeness and had me buy him a meal at the Uptown Diner. After that we headed to his uncles where we met the bed with open arms, and very tired bodies.
Good New Years!
See pictures!
